Rod has been working in production since the 1990s.
Starting in sports production, he moved into drama production when he co-created and series produced the multi-award-winning television drama series ‘Dream Team’ for Sky TV in the UK, which ran for over 300 episodes in 10 Seasons.
Rod joined John Brocklehurst at The Mob Film Company in 2004 and they co-developed and produced the multi-BAFTA award-winning TV miniseries ‘Hogfather’ (Sky TV 2006). Hogfather was the first-ever live adaptation of best-selling author Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series. Rod and John went on to produce two further BAFTA award-winning Discworld TV miniseries, ‘The Colour of Magic’ (Sky TV 2008) and ‘Going Postal’ (Sky TV 2010).
Rod stepped away from the Mob for a short while to work with the directors of Narrativia, which resulted in a number of projects moving into production, where Rod executive produced, including ‘Good Omens’ (Amazon 2019) and The Amazing Maurice (Sky Cinema 2022).
Rod and John have also created a notable television documentary slate at The Mob as a writers, producers and directors including, A Year in the life of Michael Owen’ (Sky TV 2010), ‘Bosman, The Player Who Changed Football’ ( BT Sport 2020) and ‘Robbo, The Bryan Robson Story’ (Amazon Prime 2021).
