Bharat Nalluri

Bharat Nalluri, director of the feature film ‘Spooks: The Greater Good’, is one of the UK’s most respected television and film directors.

Bharat’s many credits include the original director of the BAFTA and Emmy-winning ‘Life On Mars’, ‘Torchwood ‘, ‘Outcasts’ and ‘Hustle’, which was based on an original idea by Nalluri and saw him nominated for Best Director at the Directors Guild in 2005.

Bharat set the standard for action-packed TV drama by helping to create Spooks, directing the last ever episode and the big-screen adaptation starring Kit Harrington.

He has worked with a multitude of other A-list stars like Kirsten Dunst and garnered Primetime Emmy nominations for Best Director and Best Actress, and Best Actor for his powerful human drama ‘Tsunami: The Aftermath’ for HBO. This two-part drama starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sophie Okenedo, Tim Roth, and Hugh Bonneville told the story of the tragic events that transpired in Thailand in December 2004.

In 2007, Nalluri directed the feature film ‘Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day’ starring Amy Adams, which had a successful theatrical release in the US.

Christmas 2017 saw the global release of his feature film and Mob Film production, ‘The Man Who Invented Christmas’ starring Christopher Plummer, Dan Stevens, Miriam Margolyes and Jonathan Pryce.

The film tells the story of the journey that led to Charles Dickens’ creation of “A Christmas Carol,” which has since become a timeless tale that would redefine Christmas and is known and loved around the world.
