Malaria, a silent but deadly threat, claims the life of a child under the age of 5 every minute. To combat this scourge, Ogilvy & SC Johnson devised a powerful campaign aimed at showing Malaria the ‘red card,’ in collaboration with Mob director, Meriem Adib.
Meriem embarked on a mission to harness the emotive power of Liverpool FC’s legendary home ground, Anfield. Working with star players, she orchestrated performances brimming with sensitivity and emotion, all within the dynamic constraints of a bustling stadium.
The shoot was a meticulously choreographed affair, employing three cameras to capture every poignant moment. Guided by a narrative script, carefully crafted to convey the urgency of the cause, the team recorded audio in a makeshift studio at Anfield. Then, against the backdrop of the stadium’s iconic features, they brought the script to life, ensuring seamless integration of sound and visuals in post-production.
The result? A compelling film (below) that not only raises awareness but also inspires action, demonstrating the power of collaboration in the fight against malaria.
